Whoopi Goldberg And Chuck Schumer Think Tucker’s J6 Footage Is Dangerous. Why, Exactly?

Can someone please explain this to me because I legitimately don’t understand where they’re coming from here. You can definitely think that the January 6th footage that Tucker Carlson aired on his Fox show is ultimately meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Like that this particular footage doesn’t change things about J6 being a violent insurrection by psycho MAGA extremists or whatever, or that it doesn’t show anything that should exonerate anyone, or that there’s enough other evidence that these clips are meaningless. I get that perspective. I disagree, but I understand where people are coming from on that. But how can you think that showing this footage is a threat to democracy or that it’s recruiting domestic terrorists by radicalizing people? That’s what both Chuck Schumer and Whoopi Goldberg have said (videos below).

If you’ve seen the footage, it’s actually pretty benign stuff. It basically just showed the police escorting certain shirtless protesters peacefully into and through the building, certain police officers walking and very much alive despite assurances that they were murdered by rioters, or certain potential Fed informants in the building at specific times despite sworn Congressional testimony to the contrary. The footage certainly disproves the narrative because it blows holes in major parts of the official story. But beyond that, what’s it doing? It’s not particularly violent or aggressive. That’s the footage the J6 committee made sure everyone saw. This is actually pretty boring stuff, to be honest.

So how is this radicalizing and recruiting domestic terrorists? How is this a threat to democracy? Is it just because it breaks the narrative, and the Left thinks it’s threatening to democracy and radicalizing to show people that the narrative was false? Is it because they think it’s threatening to democracy and radicalizing to show people the rest of the story so they have all the information to draw their own informed conclusions? Is it because they think it’s threatening to democracy and radicalizing to prove that Democrat and RINO politicians lied to America about what happened? It’s just a weird position to take.
